I know soy is high in estrogen,  which is why women that have had breast cancer in the past shouldnt eat soy...I'm not sure wether the hormeone estrogen could effect your thyroid...interesting though..

lol hey sphynxy,

As long as Ive known you sphynxy you've seemed to be on this craze about getting enough vit c...
(she has been an advocate of taking 15000 mg a day)

however to the men out there..an overdose in vit c can cause um male problems...because the over abundance of vit c can screw with hormones.
this can be overcome by an intake of DHEA.
which no matter if your male or female can help reset your body and get you back to normal. DHEA is naturally converted into progesterone or testosterone.

"The FDA is definitely dysfunction with regard to a lot of things, but they've got a really difficult job."

and they dont take things off the shelves or recall them, unless theres at least 100 deaths from a particular medication.

i disagree however with taking that much vit c as it can lower your levels of DHEA.

500-1000mg a day is really all you need.

I recently read an article in a medical journal, that had an interesting correlation.
This article stated that autism which is predominately a male sickness is caused by mercury toxicity when an infant or young child was given a vaccination(nearly all vaccinations including the flu shots have mercury in them), however it seems that autism is becoming more prevalent these days.. and the question was why? the proposed answer was that this is due to the sedentary lifestyles of the population(meaning staying indoors), and the population becoming more and more vitamin D deficient. Or that the pregnant mother didnt take enough and or pass enough vitamin D onto her child.

Vitamin D is what removes mercury from the body.
Vitamin D is also something the body generates from a 5-10 minute walk in the Sun .(depending on melanin or skin color) The darker skin you have the better protection you have from the suns rays; but also the longer you need to be out in the sun to absorb the same amount as a lighter skinned person.

just a note..milk of magnesia is not the same as drinking milk obviously...actually if you have cramps dairy milk is the worst thing to drink.
While magnesium relaxes mucles, calcium contracts muscles.

Stretch, stretch, stretch!!!!
thats actually a sign i posted on my cieling, so its the first thing i see when i wake up... unfortunately unlike cats we dont seem to instincutally do it the first thing getting out of bed.

i swear by magnesium, if its not dehydration... have you ever noticed when you've had stomach cramps for instance, you take "mylanta" or "milk of magnesi-a/um" and it works?
14  Beginners / Health & Nutrition / resisting colds, thymus stimulation on: October 23, 2009, 12:02:50 AM
one way you can resist colds is by getting lots of sleep...
and by stimulating your thymus... you thymus lays directly beneath your sternum.
by tapping up and down your sternum or chest you increase the number of white blood cells to defeat your cold.

and well as sphynxcatvp suggests take 15,000 mg of vit c as it helps increase your immune system  and your energetic body.

have you ever gotten cramps in the iddle of the night in your legs arms ect or after a sporting event?

most cramps are due to two factors either a water/ electrolyte imbalance
or
a magnesium deficiency.
you cant overdose on magnesium, the best way to find your correct dosage is to take one, the first day, and keep upping the dosage each day  until you essentially have diarhea, then back down one pill.
